1Should you consider plastic surgery?
The decision to undergo plastic surgery is not an easy one, but one that can be life-changing. If you are considering plastic surgery, it’s important to speak to your surgeon about your goals and concerns to weigh your options and make an informed decision. Dr Moodie will tailor your treatment to your unique needs, achieving form, function and beauty.
2Will your medical aid cover surgery?
Medical aids generally do not cover cosmetic procedures. Some medical aids however, do cover breast reduction in severe symptomatic cases.
3What medical aids do we accept?
All medical aids are accepted but please be aware that Dr Moodie charges 300% of RPL rates for reconstructive procedures. Please make sure that you contact your medical aid to enquire what percentage of the total surgical fee is covered by your medical and that your GAP cover is in order to cover the difference. The patient remains responsible for the outstanding account. Cost estimations for surgery will be supplied on request. Cosmetic procedures are individualized and a quote will be sent to a patient after consultation for consideration.

5How do you book an appointment?
To request an appointment, please contact our reception via email or telephone. Alternatively, fill out our online contact form with your details, and we will get back to you to confirm your consultation.
6How do you prepare for surgery?
This depends on the type of surgery. Generally you should stop all vitamin, herbal, immune booster supplements and all blood thinning medication for 3 weeks before and 3 weeks after surgery. During consultation, Dr Moodie will assess your medical and surgical history and review your medications list to suggest an appropriate and safe plan for surgery. Do not stop medications prior to consultation. In certain situations, Dr Moodie will refer you to a physician to assist with optimising your condition for surgery.
7Does Dr Moodie treat botched surgeries?
Yes - true botched surgeries are very complex and require careful planning and execution.
